Tucked away at the foothills of the Blackstairs mountains, The Chantry restaurant in Bunclody, Co. Wexford is the South East’s newest venue for civil weddings and wedding receptions. Couples can choose to wed in the intimate ambience of this fine 19th century house, which was an old Wesleyan chapel, or in its surrounding idyllic gardens.
Indoors, the main dining room, with its deep red walls and chandeliers, is ideal for exclusive boutique weddings or those who prefer an intimate celebration of their nuptials with up to 80 guests. Replete with antiques and paintings, The Chantry offers couples the opportunity to design a wedding service and reception unique to them.
The gardens at The Chantry provide an outstanding setting for outdoor weddings or a stunning backdrop for photographs of the special couple and friends. The landscaped gardens and riverside terrace overlook The Clody River and Clonattin Estate and woodlands, offering privacy while your photographer records forever your special day. Enjoy the romance of the occasion while you and your guests sip wine, surrounded by ferns, rhododendrons, camellias, hydrengas, lilies and many other rare plants.
At the end of the night, the special couple are welcome to stay at our beautiful private bridal suite, an ideal blend of intimacy and cosiness with which to start married life.
