:: I have found that networking and word-of-mouth to be the most successful way to market my business. 

:: 75% of my new clients come from referrals from satisfied current / past clients.

:: 50% of my work comes from referrals and 50% from online forums.

:: Have tried all of the above but found the best promotion is through word of mouth and a very intensive PR drive.

Sep 3 health column: Hair today …

Many men feel self-conscious about hair loss, but losing your hair to alopecia at the age of nine was devastating for Niall Boylan (46). “I spent the first quarter of my life being brought to doctors and hospitals, even to Scotland, to try to get my hair to grow,” said Niall. “It was very difficult at school – having no hair destroys your self-esteem, particularly in secondary school.”

The lifetime risk of being diagnosed with bowel cancer is around 1 in 25 for men and yet there is a growth in waiting lists in Ireland for bowel cancer screening colonoscopies. In fact, bowel cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in Ireland, after lung cancer.
